Tuesday Night Poety: Warmth

It was so nice to find out where everyone wanted to go for VACATION last week. Rory, Amber, & Cyn were my vacation buddies. This week, as Christmas Day comes ever nearer, the word "WARMTH" comes to my mind. And as if my daughter had read my thoughts, out of the blue, she decided to write a poem. I’m Not Leaving You

Just another car ride home from somewhere I don't even remember. And I don't remember exactly how the conversation started either. But I do remember this: (Cupcake is my eldest daughter's new nickname. You know how that goes...) Cupcake: Exactly when am I gonna be a teenager? Dad: Don't worry about it. Cupcake: Why? I Love Your Smile

Dear Penelope Chard, The best thing I love about you is your beautiful smile.  Your smile can light up any room.  Oh, you have a lot to say, but your smile beats it all.  When you smile, it's true happiness looking at me.  I remember that the world isn't such a bad place after all. Just Like Mommy

Dear Penelope Chard, You're only 6 years old, but I already see signs of your very unique personality in some of the things you do or prefer to have.  However, I'm happy to say that there are still some things that truly shows you are my daughter... 1.  We can both read books for hours on end. 2.  We don't like spicy food. 3.  We're both good at spelling. 4.  Math is not our favorite subject. 5.  We love art, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, etc... 6.  We are chocoholics. 7.  We're both stubborn. 8.  We're spoiled by the same person (your dad). 9.  We can both dance. 10.  We go crazy for anything "Hello Kitty."
