Holy cow! (pun intended)
So a friend of mine just shared on FB a video of this lady who still breastfeed her 8-year-old daughter.
That’s not a typo people. EIGHT YEARS OLD!
Watch it. Get goosebumps. Comment. What the heck?
Where Motherhood, Poetry, Homeschooling, and Digiscrapping vie for my attention.

I was browsing through the Sports section of the newspaper today (just to see why men like that page) and I saw this:
Really? I was appalled!
Massage parlors that feature “pretty, young, professional, or beautiful” young Asian girls! I bet you anything that their customers are all men. I mean, why else would it be in the Sports section of the paper? And is massaging really all that goes on there? Yah right.
This is just so sad though. Why is this even legal?
What are your thoughts on the matter?
(Disclaimer: My husband doesn’t read the Sports Section of any newspaper. He’s cool like that.)
It’s old news. Products & food items “Made in China” can be health hazards.
But it’s old news that keeps re-appearing. And this latest article I read takes the cake!
Recently in Beijing, a very wealthy family had a wedding with about 500 guests. The lavish reception served up sumptuous dumplings, steamed chickens, pork ribs, meatballs, stir fries, etc. You get the idea. But after an hour into the meal “…a pregnant woman collapsed, old men clutched their chests, and children vomited.”
What gives?
At the end, of the 500 guests, 286 went to the hospital – because the pork they ate was contaminated with a steroid that makes pigs grow faster and leaner, but when humans eat lots of it, it can cause heart palpitations, nausea, convulsions, dizziness, and vomiting.
Eat at your own risk – because “bigger, cheaper, faster is the name of the game.”
Apparently, that’s the current mantra when one is invited to any social event in China nowadays. Not even the Chinese people can trust their own people to serve up safe food to eat. And their government’s attempt at scaring people to be responsible for the health of their customers have failed – food poisoning rates are still on the rise.
To give you an idea, here’s a short list of SOME of the reasons why food in China are NOT SAFE:
