Play With Me

blue ball

You are the center of my universe I like it when you play with me Even when you kick me Or throw me across the room I know that you love me And when you hit me with things Or push me around Still, I know that you love me When you leave me alone at night Or abandon me without a thought I trust that you still love me Because although I lay helpless, Lying on the bamboo floor Staring at the time ticking by And willing the sun to rise Eventually, you come down the stairs And play with me again. *Currently, this is CJ's favorite ball.  It's pretty much been through it all.  And the coolest part? It lights up too.* Linking up with Alison and Galit for September's Memories Captured ...continue reading

Stealing Kisses

Now, I have to fight for them. It's okay though.  I've still got the advantage. Until she gets bigger and stronger than me, I will never have second thoughts about stealing my kisses. Toddler kisses. I gotta have my daily fix! Do you steal kisses too? ...continue reading

I Don’t Want To Do It

MemoriesCaptured1

Real life isn't always pretty. Real life consists of the good, the bad, and the mundane. As mothers, we sometimes wonder what our kids will remember when they've grown. Will they remember how I made them breakfast everyday? How about all the times I drove them to their ballet classes? What about the laundry? Will they remember always having to dig through four hampers just to find one underwear? And what about getting socks? I don't want to do it. But I'm finally going to do it. I'm going to tackle ""The Sock Colony." For the longest time, all of our socks have taken residence inside one huge hamper. What's that?  You can't find socks?  That's impossible - they're all in one place! I'm totally sure that one of the lasting memories my kids will have will be our ...continue reading
