Ivory/Dream: Nurture Photo Project 2013

NurtureSpring2013Button250_zpsb4d9a776

I just couldn't make it to last week's prompt. So today will be a twoferone post for me. Although I'm late, I'm super excited because I got to use my brand-spankin'-new toy! LIGHTROOM 4! (do a little jiggy dance with me...uh uh uh....) Yes.  I'm that happy about it. If you haven't tried it.  You must.  It makes editing photos super quick.  If you're like me, most of my photos turn out either overexposed or too dark. Lightroom tweeks my photos and helps nurture my sensitive (wannabe) photographer's ego. In other words, it makes me look like I know what I'm doing. ahem. Without further ado, my Lightroom and PSE edited shots this week.  (squee) The toddler still sucks the thumb.  Our dentist is not happy. This one woke up before I could take her ...continue reading

When my eldest daughter is really happy, she smiles with her mouth wide open.  Ever since she was a baby, her smile has always been like this.   I love it because it shows her innocence and carefree spirit.  I hope she never loses it no matter how old she gets.  Whenever I think of her, I picture her with a smile just like this! Pretty & Poisonous

Pretty & Poisonous

I have a thumb, but it's not green.  If I had to pick a color, it'd probably be black for the color of death, because that's what I do...I kill plants.  At least not on purpose.  So around here, my husband gets to be the gardener.  I'm just an assistant. Okay, maybe more like a bossy supervisor.  I get to say "yes" or "no" to pretty plants at the store, then I get to point my finger and say, "No, move it there.  Wait.  Try it over there instead."  Several times. I love my husband. Anyway, since we don't have a front yard nor a backyard, but we love plants...our alternative is having a container garden.  It is wonderful to have in our small, gated, and cozy front porch. The benefits of having a container garden: Potted plants are easy to move around - so even if I change ...continue reading
