Spring is my favorite season. Not just because I love nature, but for the weather too. This year, we had the chance to go to the beach - because the weather was just shouting at us to go. So we packed up our van, my parents brought their truck, and we headed for the shoreline. "Fiesta Island" to be in fact. In San Diego. This year, that day will be the one we will associate Spring with. It was the first time my son was able to enjoy the beach. Sure, I'd taken him there before, but he was an infant. This time, he saw the water and all the sand he could play with. He didn't want to leave. Actually, none of my kids wanted to leave. I don't blame them. It was a really fun day. 43 days... ...counting down to June 1st. The 2013 Camp Pendleton World Famous Mud Run. For more than a month, I've been trying to train and psyche myself up to be ready for it. Then it happened. "Twin Bombings" last Monday during the Boston Marathon. I had never even heard of this world famous event until that tragic day. And I suppose, there were many people who heard about the event for the first time too. But this was one kind of publicity nobody would've ever wanted to happen. As I opened the internet to find out details... How many hurt? Did anyone die? Who did it? Where's the president? Are we going to war? What really happened?
