It’s my birthday and I’m taking a little break. Can you believe I’m actually going out to watch a movie? In the theater!
Big news. I know.
And you know what’s even better news? My brother is going to pay! Whoohoo!!!
My 3 choices, which you all have probably seen already, are either SWATH, Abraham Lincoln the vampire slayer, or The Expendables 2. I love me some action!
What? Did you think I was gonna go for the mushy chick flicks? Then you don’t know me, my friends. I save those kinds of movies for home viewing where I can have a couple of boxes of tissues on one side and my husband’s shoulder on the other.
Anywho, my wonderful mom is babysitting the kiddos. Thank goodness CJ sleeps through the night now! Yay, right?
Oh, and as a little aside…
My FIL is doing much better. He is now out of the ICU and has been transferred to a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF – pronounced “sniff”). His lungs are still a little wet so breathing is still a little difficult at times. He also needs physical therapy to get his strength back. The good news is that he is mentally alert, communicating, and cooperating! He is definitely moving in the right direction.
Thank you, my friends, for keeping him in your prayers. Keep it up, though. Still a lot of work to do before he goes home!

As for the Expendables 2…..YEP, I SAW THAT ONE! You have to see it. I am making it mandatory for you, ASAP. The plot was predictable and sucky, BUT the dialogue between the “action heroes” were unforgettable. Super funny. I don’t think Jason was shirtless, but he did have a cool solo where he singlehandedly kicked @$$ using daggers. And the Chuck Norris jokes were acted out to perfection – you have to catch ‘em as they happen. Like this one time…..no, wait. I’m not telling you any details. You have to go see it for yourself, and then we’ll talk. (cue evil laughter) Go. See it. Now.
Statham or whatever his name is wasn’t shirtless.Besides, I was sitting next to my wife the whole time so I don’t think she noticed….=P
