Happy 9th Anniversary to my love! Thank you for the times you’ve brought me up from the downs, for turning the sad times to happy, and sticking with me no matter how stubborn I get. I know we’re still working on the “…for richer” part of the deal, but hey – poor is not so bad when there’s love!
Also… thank you for adding these 3 beautiful people in our lives.
And the years go by with alot of noise
Like hahahas
And boohoohoos
And oohs and aahs in between
But above all the din
Outside this time
Are our hearts
loudly beating in tune
to their own rhythm of life.

Happy anniversary! Beautiful picture!!

Thank you. It’s one of my favorites.
You know, we’re going on 25 years, and the day we got married, the best we could do after the ceremony was Denny’s. For us and our witness. We spent time in the local parish church, and then just drove on home. 5 years later we went back to the scene, and took a cruise on the lake that included lunch. We had to scrape money from the seat of the car to be able to afford the picture they took as a memory. At 10, we had our first vacation together, a quick trip to Maui because we wanted to go to a music festival, stayed in a dump, and ate McDonalds. At 15, we went to the US Open in NYC. At 17 1/2 I became Catholic and we convalidated our marriage, rededicated ourselves to each other. Now, we’ve been all over the place. The whole point is that the downs make you really appreciate the climb up, and the progress. Just remember, you’re never at the destination until the day you die. Each day is a point along the way. God bless you, and your marriage.

“…you’re never at the destination until the day you die.” Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes we forget about the real destination, you know?
And there’s too much going on right now for us to do anything for our anniversary. I don’t mind that much, I guess. Someday, we’ll do it right.
What you did, writing a memoriam here, is probably enough for him. Just the hug, kiss and thanks is all we real men need…You’ll get that trip alone another time…You ARE doing it right! At least from what I’ve read…

Thanks. Glad to hear my “present” was ok from a guy’s perspective.
And I’m not too stuck on doing a trip. With little ones, I always get so worried even when I leave the house without them just to go the store! I can’t imagine leaving them for days – even if they were left in good hands! LOL.
