If you’ve ever been in my classroom, when I used to be a “regular” teacher, then you know that I organize everything that I own.
From the compartmentalized pull-out shelf under the desk to the “every-chapter-must-be-tabbed” Teacher’s Edition Textbooks, there was always an easy way to find anything in my room.
The cool part about that was all of my students knew it too.
Every time I created a new “system” of organization, they learned it and followed through.
Now… since deciding to be a SAHM, I’ve found that organizing my own pantry just doesn’t work out for me.
I don’t rightly know why, but I end up stuffing pretty much everything in it until I forget what’s even inside.
My wonderful husband to the rescue!!!
Either he wanted to help me OR he was tired of not knowing where anything was in the pantry… Whatever his reason, I was very thankful. Cooking doesn’t take as long because I can finally find the ingredients I need without getting lost inside the shelves.
Thank you Honey, I love my “new” pantry!

that’s a good man you got there!! Mine sticks to organizing the “man zones:” garage, shed, utility room a couple of times a year.
And you did a makeover here I see too! Looks great.
It’s almost 7 pm here and I am just getting on the computer for the first time all day while hubby does the bath time routine. Can you imagine…… 7pm before I touched finger to keyboard!!
but the party was a success, so all’s well that ends well.

Wow! It must have been a really awesome party to keep you off the computer that long!
As for husbanda and organizing….I suppose it doesn’t matter too much what part of the house they clean…as long as they do something! Right?
Yes. We usually don’t do much.
You do plenty enough to make sure your family is well taken care of! *kisses*

Thanks. I thought so too!
The one where he’s balancing the container on his head cracks me up. Your blog is looking so good and super inviting…plus, I love your tagline about vying for your attention!

I love the balancing act too. That was his idea. And I’m glad u like the tagline. I’ve been trying forever to come up with a good one that relates to me and my blog!
My hubby is more like Rory’s and he organizes the manzones more than anything and those just barely. I organize the pantry and clean the cabinets a couple of times per year… but it always ends up a little messy!!! I wonder if I would like it if the hubs touched the pantry… shudder.

A couple of times per year? That’s more than me! LOL. I propose you challenge your hubs to take on the pantry. The end result might be interesting!
Dear wife: when it comes to balancing, you are the Master and Commander of the Universe. I could barely balance a container of mixed nuts long enough for a pic.
*blush* Aww….thanks sweetie! (And for you visitors, I DID NOT pay him to say that! Honest!)
Springtime is the traditional time to remove the winter blues from your home and make it ready for the long days of summer fun. It’s also a good exercise in taking stock of your home and its contents. Just
make sure that you share the work–and the credit for a job well done.

He is a keeper!!!
The pantry is one of my ‘don’t look directly at it’ zones. Too difficult to keep organized, so I feel ya!
Love the new look too!

I’m definitely keeping him! And my ‘don’t look directly at it’ zone? Wherever the laundry pile is at!
