Another fun week – most of it spent in the car!

Cupcake: Look! That van looks just like ours!
Me: Yah. Sorta. It’s an older model though.
Cupcake: Oh. So we’re like its child then. You know, because our car is younger – we’re newer.

BerryBites: Why aren’t you going mom?
Me: Because the light is red. Red means stop. Green means go.
BerryBites: Oh.
(a little later…)
BerryBites: MOM! RED MEANS STOP! WHY DID YOU GO?!
Me: Oh, well it’s okay. Mommy was turning right. It’s okay to turn right when it’s red.
BerryBites: Whaaaat??? I didn’t know that. That’s a funny thing.

Me: No, no. We can’t eat in the car. We have to keep it clean because we’re selling it.
Cupcake: We can’t get it dirty?
Me: No YOU can’t.
Cupcake: Geez. What, we can’t even get any germs on it? That’s no fun.

Me: BerryBites, stop kicking the car door!
BerryBites: But I’m not kicking it. I’m just swinging my foot.
Me: Well, stop swinging your foot and hitting the car.
BerryBites: But I’m just sitting here.
Me: Well NOW you are, but you weren’t earlier.
BerryBites: Oh. I didn’t know that.
Me: *slap forehead* lol
